The traffic light signifies an important role in the poster, which is to put an end to human trafficking . The main colors used are red, black and white. The red light is used to emphasis the amount of people, both male and female who are forced to work incredible amount of hours to be paid a minimal worthless wage . I used plain colors to intentionally make the red traffic light the focal point, which drags the attention of the viewers immediately. "Modern day slavery" is portrayed under the red light so that when the viewers read the poster, it would be the same system as the traffic light. These strong words, dominate the poster by making the process of reading much more slower. It is a technique to allow them to think twice and for the message to be conveyed in a powerful yet persuasive way. The yellow and green are replaced with black in order to make the poster an order for people to stop human trafficking and not an option or opinion for them to consider. The edge of the traffic light, is also used as a divider to balance the poster , allowing it to look much more interesting engaging from a distance. The red builds tension, White a color of hope, and black for trap.
