After graduating from the University of North Texas with a BFA in Communication design, Alex Egner worked in the Dallas-Ft.Worth area as an advertising art director and graphic designer. He then earned an MFA in Design: Visual Communications from Virginia Commonwealth University before returning to the University of North Texas as an Assistant Professor. His work has won awards (such as AIGA 365: 31, Dallas Society of Visual Communications, Brand New Awards, HOW Logo Design Awards, and the Addys), been featured in national publications (including Communication Arts, Graphis, Creative Quarterly, the LogoLounge book series, Graphic Design USA, and Chois Gallery), and exhibited internationally.
