About me
Lourdes Zolezzi was born in Mexico City in 1972. She currently works as a freelance designer and illustrator living in Spain. She is studying a PhD in applied creativity at the University of Navarra, Spain.
She studied a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Communication Design (UAM-X, Mexico), a Master's Degree in Visual Arts at the Academy of San Carlos (ENAP-UNAM, Mexico) and a Master's Degree in Art Therapy. Educational, Social and Therapeutic Aspects of Art as an Experience of Accompanied Creation (UPV, Spain). She began her professional career in 1997 where she worked in the social communication department of the National Council for Culture and the Arts (CONACULTA), creating graphic pieces for various cultural activities such as theater, dance and music. She later worked as an art director in several advertising agencies.
She has collaborated in the business, cultural, social and academic fields. She has served as a jury member in Poster Competitions, including the following competitions: a! Design (Mexico), Good50X70 (Italy) and the social poster contest Segunda Llamada (Mexico), among others. She has also participated in various conferences giving lectures and workshops, her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in various poster exhibitions, highlighting the Trnava Poster Triennial in Slovakia in 2012 where she was a guest of honor, as well as the “Women's Eyes” exhibition in Taiwan in 2016, the “30 alerts against gender violence” exhibition during 2023 and 2024 (Mexico) and is currently participating in the internationally traveling exhibition since 1916 “Women's Rights are Human Rights” (https://www.womensrightsarehumanrights.org).
She has been awarded such as: 3rd place in the XI Edition of the Aosta Valley International Film Festival “Stambecco d'Oro” with the theme: “Animals and their environment. Look of the future, look after nature” sponsored by the Natura Project 2nd edition (Aosta-Italy, 1999), the Philippe Apeloig Prize (Ningbo-China, 2001), the Quórum Prize (Mexico, 2001) in the poster category, as well as third place in the Digital Art Biennial (Rzeszow-Poland, 2002), among others. Since 2001 she has been invited to participate in various national and international publications such as: the book “One by One” by Hesign Press International (Shanghai/Berlin, 2012), “Graphic Design in Mexico - 100 years” CONACULTA (Mexico, 2012), the magazine “KNOC” (Nagoya-Japan, 2008), the book “Master Pieces” (Slovenia, 2009), “Designer” magazine (Moscow-Russia, 2003), the Graphic Designers Society Newspaper “JAHAT-E-ETELAE” (Iran - 2003), among others. She currently works as a freelance designer and illustrator.
