About me
Erin Sedra is an accomplished graphic designer with a decade of experience in the field. Currently an assistant professor of graphic design at Black Hills State University, Erin’s passion for design ignited at the young age of 12 when she began teaching herself programs like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator to create illustrations for her friends. This early enthusiasm paved the way for her to land her first professional role at a non-profit organization at just 16 years old and completely self taught.
Her dedication to mastering design led her to pursue formal education, ultimately earning a terminal MFA degree from Missouri State University. Erin’s career is marked by significant achievements, including winning a prestigious gold award at the United States International Poster Biennial for her poster titled Ruthless.
In addition to her teaching role, Erin is an active freelancer, specializing in brand identity and web design for a diverse range of clients. Her research at the university is deeply rooted in social justice, where she focuses on creating powerful posters that address the issues she is passionate about.
Erin Sedra continues to inspire both students and clients alike with her dedication to design and her commitment to using her talents for meaningful causes.
