Michail Dobbelt, painter, was born on the 4th of August 1960 in Saint Petersburg, Russia. He had graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Music and Cinematography in St. Petersburg as Szenograph. Since graduating in 1990, he has been working as a painter and solo exhibited more than 20 times in such cities as Hamburg, Hannover, Zürich, St. Petersburg, and Dresden.
Since 2001he lives and works in Dresden, Germany, as an independent artist. He is the member of the German National Assosiation of Arts.
