Hoon-Dong Chung was born in 1970 in Korea. He is an assistant professor at Dankook University and invited artist at the Grand Art Exhibition of Korea. In addition, he is a vice-chairman of Korean Institute of Cultural Product & Design.

The works have been showcased in competitive exhibitions across the world and received numerous awards, including the Graphis Annual, the Red Dot Design Award, the IF Design Award, the Good Design Award, the HOW Design Award, the Creativity Design Award, the IDA Design Award and 5 nominations for the German Design Award with the German Design Council.

Furthermore, his works are in the collections of International Design Museum Munich, Museum für Gestaltung, Musée de la Publicité, The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, Colorado State University, Dansk Plakat Museum, Ogaki Poster Museum, and the like.
