About me
Graphic designer with a degree in Fine Arts from the Escuela de Bellas Artes de San Carlos in Valencia. Marisa Gallén began her career in 1984 by co-founding La Nave, where she remained until it closed in 1991. She worked at the Estudio Ni until 1997 and went on to create Figuerola+Gallén. She currently runs the Estudio Marisa Gallén.
Her interest in the profession extends to other fields and she is envolved in iniciatives to promote design. She has chaired the Asociación de Diseñadores de la Comunidad Valenciana and was secretary of the Federación Española de Asociaciones de Diseño. She has sat on the juries of numerous competitions, including the Premios Nacionales de Diseño and Premios Laus.

In 2008 her efforts were rewarded with the Medalla de Bellas Artes de San Carlos, the Mestres: La cadena del FAD distinction and the Special Jury Price from the magazine Economía 3. In 2010 she received the Premio Tendencias CV for best graphic designer. In 2011 she received ADCV award and in 2012 she was awarded with a Laus.
