TAMPA, Fla. — Poster for Tomorrow’s 2017 “A Day for Tomorrow” art exhibition returns to Tampa for a second year. The exhibition, “Freedom of Movement,” highlights 100 posters from artists around the world on experiences of immigrants and refugees, particularly the freedom to move to a new country in search of a safer place to live.

The exhibition closes Saturday, December 16.

“Last year, artists explored this idea of extremism having no boundaries. This year’s exhibition asks artists to reconsider this, What do our borders look like? The response is posters about people forced to flee their homes and what they encounter in their search for safety: walls, border patrol, separation of families and so many obstacles,” said Stephanie Gocklin, volunteer exhibition organizer. “Freedom of Movement pressures us to think outside of policy and humanize this search for safety.”

This is the sixth year the exhibition will be in Florida, and its second year in Tampa.
