This drawing contains a vast expression that catches the viewers eye as it is seen as a disturbance. The freedom of the dove in which represents peace cannot be freed by the human hand in which holds it. I included, ‘peace arrives when the dove flies’, indicating that if there is still war, physical, verbal, polictical or so on in which results in catastrophe amongst the human race, there will be no peace until death. Keeping the word ‘dove’ in a calligraphy styled font, allows the viewer to understand the beauty that is shared between the font and the known aesthetic of a dove, however in comparison with the image, it highly contradicts the statement that is being shared. The word ‘flies’ is also underlined, showing the contradiction between the ability of flight whilst it tries to fly away from capture.

Do The Right Thing

In a world that is becoming increasingly polarised, perhaps the one thing that unites us all is the conviction that we are all acting for the right reasons. And having formed an opinion about an issue, there is little room to have it changed by listening to an opposing view. Fake news has eroded trust in facts. So how can we move forward?
