The poster serves as both a metaphor and a critic. At first, it depicts the idea of reminding people of the simple act of doing the right thing like a phone notification could remind us of many things. Besides that, the phone itself is full of references to the current war on ukraine and how it should be a reminder to people to wake up and do something, do the right thing. The date and time are the same ones as when the invasion on ukrainian lands began, the battery percentage is a metaphor on how not only ukraine, but the whole world is currently (mid pandemic, mid political, economic and energetic crisis) and lastly the phone carrier is a simplified "Stop Putin" slogan. Besides all that, this poster also serves as a critic, as mentioned before, to the idea of people doing simple and useless things, like changing profile pictures and bios to say "we stand with ukraine" and think that it solves anything.

Do The Right Thing

In a world that is becoming increasingly polarised, perhaps the one thing that unites us all is the conviction that we are all acting for the right reasons. And having formed an opinion about an issue, there is little room to have it changed by listening to an opposing view. Fake news has eroded trust in facts. So how can we move forward?
