Ever heard the phrase, "asking for it" in reference to a person who faced assault or sexual harassment? How about the court cases where the lawyers or judge ask a rape victim, "What were you wearing when it happened?" I wanted to design a poster with a call to action protesting this. No matter what you're wearing--a sexy costume, revealing lingerie, drag, or a little black dress--NO ONE has the right to touch you without your explicit consent. Hell, you should be able to be safe walking naked down the street. You might get arrested, sure, but no one has the right to sexually assault or harass you. This applies to everyone, regardless of gender identity, sexual preference, race, culture, or appearance. Caption: "Clothes ≠ Consent : Clothing (or a lack thereof) does not imply consent to be touched or catcalled."
