A vast amount of energy goes into meat production. From growing corn to feed cattle, water to grow the corn, land to raise the animal, factories and facilities to slaughter and pack the meat, and deforestation for more land. And in this whole process greenhouse gases are emitted into the atmosphere: carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane. All these greenhouse gases bounce off each other and for this reason, heat cannot escape the atmosphere because there are just too much greenhouse gases for the heat to escape. Therefore we experience global warming. Meat production is an unsustainable resource. It has a great impact on land, water, and atmosphere.
