Recently in the United States, actions have been taken to limit immigrants, refugees, and other friends across the seas. Sadly, these actions surround islamophobia, stereotypes, and a lack of information. Essentially, the freedom of movement into the United States has been denied from several Middle-Eastern countries. The fact of the matter is Mr. Trump is scratching off countries and their people, limiting their dreams and opportunities for a life in the United States. The industries in the surrounding countries (and those scratched off too) are seen, in what I believe the eyes of the president, greater than the knowledge, skills, and personality foreigners can bring in. In Mr. Trump's own "lottery", he forgets that there is no winner. Each scratch made hurts both nations' citizens. Industries and people are of much different value, but with the syndicated decisions being made, I do not believe that a difference can be seen. From my standpoint as a young individual, I believe that the economic interests, including Trump golf courses (on the map), blind the true meaning of interacting with other countries. We should look at the world with more than money in our pockets. We should look at our world as opportunities to engage in meaningful conversations, to develop our skill sets, and to create more diversity. We should look at the world as the freedom to move without restrictions and live wherever our hearts desire.
