"Let's all be autonomous together" is a paradox mantra and comment on the current urge of countries, people and politics to isolate themselves from "others" and cut connections to find independency in the climax of globalization. An utopy of a not yet build society. The typeface Alain that I created for this is inspired by philosopher Alain Ehrenberg, who debated the desperation of the individual in between the necessity of autonomy and social integration. I combined my private (super light and italic) and my official/public handwriting (only straight capital letters) and combined these two extremes to a harmonic but still edgy appearance and attitude.
