The thing that keeps people alive is 'the bridge'. So the people who disturb the balance are us.
If we 'shoot' the bridges, the balance will be disturbed and we all will fall. If we don't let immigrants and refugees to travel and if we destroy the bridges, we destroy ourselves too.
It would be self destruction.
