Social media websites plays a vital role when it comes to communication and socialization for modern people. Mainstream media spreads a misleading impression of foreigners through messages containing fear, terror, and violence. It leads to bias and prejudice that people believe in building the borders to isolate foreigners and building a wall against non-locals will protect themselves from hidden threats. That, this collective consciousness against “terrorists” in Western society goes viral today; however, many internet users don’t even aware of the underlying consequences when they support this belief on social sites. In order to prevent the indulgence of media corruption and to set up harmonious society, we ought to advocate the importance of equal human rights such as freedom of movements in order to establish a borderless world without violent rhetoric of hatred and fear.
