A refugee in the world today lives a fragmented life. A refugee is followed by hatred and ignorance, even though they are the ones that have lost everything. Their money, their homes, their belongings, and their jobs lost in the midst of war and terror. A refugee from anywhere in the world suffers all types of discrimination. Their religion, the color of their skin, their language, and their culture is used against them to create a stereotype that represents a minuscule amount of their population. A refugee’s quality of life is disintegrated by the people of the world who are not living in their shoes. These people come with nothing, only seeking peace and happiness, and all they are greeted with is disgust and lack of knowledge. We are ALL human beings that have the capability to love and accept people for who they are. My piece exemplifies that all refugees want is quality of life. Why take that away from someone else?
