In the world of today, technology is something we can't live a day without. As we create and discover new technology to make our lives easier, we are faced with an even greater threat. We are blind to the fact that technology evolves at a much faster rate than mankind and if not handled correctly, technology can easily consume our humanity. 'Message of the day' poster is about the extremism of communication in our society. This issue consists of three factors of which are social extremism, emotional extremism and technology extremism. As a race, we are socially impaired using our smart phones and computers to communicate digitally rather than face-face. We hide behind our screens to express how we feel through icons and emojis. When we're having fun adding every emoji we can to place, in the text we're sending to our friends and family because it's "fun" and "cool," we sometimes forget the children of the future are born into a world where expressing yourself within an emoji platform is the norm. How many years will it take before we completely hide who we truly are and bottle all of our emotions through small tiny yellow faces rather than expressing our issues and feelings through words to one another? We always think of cyborgs and robot rebellions in sci-fi movies being farfetched but if you look at it in another way, humans are already completely integrated with technology. Our connection with other people in real life is on the decline. We have a poor "1x" connection in our society and we have to be aware of this issue. Years down the road, how will we communicate with others? How far will we fade from the natural world? What will happen when the battery of our humanity hits zero? We must be conscious of how we use technology or else we will be the ones used by technology. Let's make it an communication advantage rather than a disability.
