The eventual design conformed to the framework I’d previously developed; it is free from any apparent symbolism beyond two basic ones: a symbol that will by nature be assumed to be symbolic of, that is a specific form or ideal. It only expresses the very idea of something being symbolic, without having any social, political or religious meaning beyond that it is an image and thus a symbol. The second symbol used is that of death, or a hanging; a societal practice abolished not too long ago. Though I’m sure it hasn’t seen its final days as of yet. Death in itself is simple; there was, but is no longer. It’s the inevitable goal of all life. In our case, it is expended on the workings of a machine that has, and always will, provide. In time, the machine will provide for all humanity, and we will enter a Golden Age not encountered in written history since the flourishing pre-modern Greece, and later the Great Roman Empire. But to reach that era, the machine must continue to adapt, as it always has, to the world and the people that fuel it. In this era of a vast array of intellectual pursuits, we have rediscovered ourselves and our consciousness, as well as the greater goal of the machine; a path we were on before the Great Wars rudely interrupted. In the modern world, there can no longer be an “us” and a “them”, binaries are counter-productive. In order to overcome our current societal issues, differences must be set aside to achieve a greater future than that of the present. This can only be ushered in by the youth, which has always been a reliable catalyst for fundamental change, though the process may be fraught with difficulty and grief, the result is a betterment of humanity as a whole; I ask us all to lay our bodies upon the gears, and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and alter the direction in which we drive the machine. In order to Overcome, we must Overcome. Destruction only leads to Destruction, and nothing more.
