The concept for this poster is Corruption Addiction. Corruption is an addiction because once someone starts it is almost impossible for them to stop and it is an Extreme happening all over the world. Due to the fact that visual media / the film industry has such influence in today’s society, I decided that the best way to convey this message was to make the poster to look like a minimal movie poster. This was emphasised by the copy on the bottom left and the ‘explicit content’ on the bottom right. The man’s eyes are covered to represent how people keep themselves anonymous and in the dark, trying to keep their corruption hidden from the world. The ‘Parents Advisory No Explicit Corruption’ was included to emphasis both the movie poster theme and the concept of corruption. There is a definition of the word Explicit running up the right hand side of the poster for people to read, re-enforcing the statement that there is ‘no explicit corruption’ anywhere unless it is discovered. Which leads to the question at the bottom of the poster, asking the viewers what they will do about corruption. This provokes people to think about how to prevent or ‘cure’ our leaders from becoming corrupt.
