the poster aims to comment on the destruction of nature. by using the fibonacci sequence i aimed to comment on the comparison between how it appears in nature and how it presented in the man made world. in search of establishing the perfect society, the perfect systems and the perfect cities, we have become short sighted and refuse to reflect of the devastating loss of the natural world. I aimed to keep the message simple “don’t destroy perfection in search of greatness” I aimed for the poster to serve as a reminder to consider the impacts of what we do on the environment, and that nature should be celebrated and used as an inspiration in transforming the world. By using the Echeverias succulent commonly known as the rock rose, to interpret the resilliance of nature, if you break the plant and place it in the soil, it comes back to life and generates new life. nature reins supreme to human nature and i aimed to represent the concept with simplicity and without the shock or guilt factor. I designed the poster with a quote in mind, one that is ver close to my heart by sir Thomas Moore and it goes as follows. “the slaughter of our fellow creatures gradually destroy’s compassion which is the finest sentiment of which our human nature is capable of.’
