Just because studies on effects from consuming genetically modified food aren't "long term" enough doesn't mean they aren't valid and the big companies can just ignore them and do whatever they want just for profit. They say they are doing good deeds feeding the world but making them suffer diseases later doesn't seem like a good solution to the food shortage problem. It's the people's lives at risk here and I think GMO is getting way too far, and by "way too far" I mean like an extinction of the original species of crops. Take bananas for example, most people couldn't recognise the original species anymore. Also, living things evolve, and pests will adapt to stronger pesticides. It is a matter of time until these pesticides are strong enough to kill us instantly right at our dinner table. The more these GMO companies grow, the more land and resources they could buy and destroy. GMO needs to stop now! Food should be safe to eat!
