The ideology behind our concept was two opposing and different perspectives still being able to acknowledge and understand the other. We wanted our poster to represent two people coming together as one, despite their differences, as this cooperation and acceptance is something that can eradicate extremism from our society. The symbol of yin & yang is channeled through our design. As you can see, on the poster are two faceless people, one black and one white, that are facing in different directions, representing their opposing views. The hands are shaped into a love heart as it is the most popular used symbol to represent love and emotion. Having the two contrasting hands entwined gives the viewer a sense of two people coming together and joining as one. The tagline ‘Many Minds, One Heart’ sends home the message that despite having a different perspective, thoughts and opinions, we can and should do our best to understand and even love the other.
