I used the grenade to express violence and the flowers are used as a symbol of peace. These are both very recognizable symbols and I felt it was best to use things that people can immediately take as a source of destruction and also a source of regrowth and life.
Graffiti art is often used as a way to inspire hope and to plaster images of solidarity around cities to let people see that they aren’t alone in their thoughts.
