Workers in garment factories of developing nations are constantly forced to face extreme working conditions, often working around the clock, squeezed into more than tight work spaces that have fire and safety hazards, all with less than minimal wage and threat of sexual assault and threats. With the tragedy of Rana Plaza factory in Bangladesh that killed over 1,000 workers in 2012, garment factory workers have begun to unite through unions and stand up for their labor rights. However, such efforts are constantly stamped upon with threats of being fired or assaulted within the factories. This poster seeks to increase awareness of what issues are behind the clothing that we wear everyday and call to global fashion companies to make a stand for such violation of labor rights.
