The object here is to depict the fallacy in paying people less and unfairly, while expecting production and more work. The first hand holds a sign that merely asks for "Fair Trade,' the second is the violence that may ensue, and the third hand is the one that's victorious. I decided to use the same skin tone for all the hands--not a particular color, just one that insinuates 'one-ness.' I did that in order to develop the narrative. A lot of effort went into detailing the illustration, but it is in the background. The foreground is blurred out. but a readable message stands, "Hungry people don't stay hungry for long."
