In America, a person working a minimum wage job works long hours and has multiple jobs to support themselves and their family. It's hard to achieve a higher education when the money isn't there and a person lives paycheck to paycheck - especially if others depend on that person. Working so much and optionally going to university leaves little time for an individual to grow and learn about themselves; creating an unhappy and stressful human.
