Well, before starting my English is bad. But I will try to explain clearly and the most correct possible.
In Sao Paulo and many other cities in the world there are many problems that hinder housing for all human beings. Urban land is treated as a luxury business, this is one of the most difficult problems in the housing and violates the right of every human being when born , that is to have a home.
Real Estate Speculation: Sao Paulo has 450.000 properties without any use, need to 227.000 houses to end the housing shortage. They are expecting grow price to be sold, and the bad news that is not fulfilling its social function.
Gentrification: Making social cleansing, poor people are forced to sell their homes, receive a low value and can not buy a new home. All this to build new neighborhoods of rich people.
The government has to help these people, not just building homes, but with laws against "Real Estate Speculation", "Gentrification" and many others. So many more people will conquer this right, this dream.

A Home For Everyone
Poster for tomorrow's 5th annual call for entries, campaigning for the universal right to housing.
‘Home’ means something different to all of us. The place where we grew up, the place where we live at the moment, the place we come to relax or entertain our friends. But for far too many people home remains a distant dream, as they try to eke out an existence in sub-standard accommodation or sleep rough on the streets.
