Despite the rising global economy stature, India has a large number of people living on streets. The sight of it is so common that one may see less of houses and more people on the roads. A lot of them are people working at the construction sites and garbage pickers, which is ironic as the people who are making the nation a place to live, barely get a place of their own.

‘Home’ means something different to all of us. The place where we grew up, the place where we live at the moment, the place we come to relax or entertain our friends. But for far too many people home remains a distant dream, as they try to eke out an existence in sub-standard accommodation or sleep rough on the streets.
