Every year the United States government spends more on defense than all fifty states combined spend on health, education, welfare and safety. And this is not just a problem in the United States, but in many countries around the world. The effect of this spending has left a huge void in the amount and quality of education many youths are getting, ultimately starving the minds of every one of them.

We believe that education gives people across the whole world the chance to break the cycle of poverty: to live in a more equal world without discrimination, where everybody has the same chance to learn the same skills and enjoy the same success.
