The main purpose of the poster is to make people aware of the lack of freedom of speech some prisoners lack. Thus, we came up with the idea of showing a subject that cannot talk. A black strip across the whole poster covers the subjectâÃôs mouths, and this symbolizes his inability to speak and defend himself. Instead of a normal rope for the noose, we chose to make the noose out of hands.

Death is not justice

Our 2010 project asked for the universal abolition of the death penalty.
For us it’s simple. The death penalty is a violation of human rights.
Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “No one
shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment.”
How does that fit with beheading, stoning, hanging, lethally injecting
or shooting someone?
