When someone is being hanged for death penalty, it is actually a series of action of killing the person, hurting all those who love the prisoner, also killing justice by violating the person's basic human right to live. So a prisoner is shown being hanged on a heart-shaped globe with bruises and blood shedding along the cord. The idea is to show the urgent call to stop this pain.

Our 2010 project asked for the universal abolition of the death penalty.
For us it’s simple. The death penalty is a violation of human rights.
Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “No one
shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment.”
How does that fit with beheading, stoning, hanging, lethally injecting
or shooting someone?
