By textually describing what a condemned inmate had gone through in what appears to be a painful death, this poster is based on an eye-witnessed encounter by a U.S. Supreme Court Justice. With a jolt between 500 to 2000 volts which lasts for about 30 seconds, internally the inmate is literally cooked. After the electrocution, the body is hot enough to blister if touched and the autopsy is delayed

Death is not justice

Our 2010 project asked for the universal abolition of the death penalty.
For us it’s simple. The death penalty is a violation of human rights.
Article 5 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights states: “No one
shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading
treatment or punishment.”
How does that fit with beheading, stoning, hanging, lethally injecting
or shooting someone?
